Hailed as “A Major Talent” in Opera Now’s “Who’s Hot” listing of the best talents, Ms. Rambaldi has won international critical acclaim for her many roles with the major opera companies throughout the United States.
She made her Opera Theater of St. Louis debut as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte, a role she repeated at Toledo Opera. She debuted at Seattle Opera singing Romilda in Handel’s Xerxes. She sang Donna Elvira with Opera Pacific, and later reprised the role at the Opera Festival of New Jersey. She continued her work in Handelian repertoire when she sang Cleopatra in Portland Opera’s production of Giulio Cesare, returning there to sing Musetta.
She made her Washington National Opera debut as the Celestial Voice in Don Carlo, and triumphed at Glimmerglass Opera singing the leading role in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera. Ms. Rambaldi sang the role of Alice Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff at Opera Festival of New Jersey and also with Kentucky Opera. She recently sang her first Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at the Théâtre Municipal in Castres, France.
Ms. Rambaldi made her New York debut as the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro at New York City Opera, a role she reprised in Opera Grand Rapids as well as Florentine Opera. She sang the lead in the critically acclaimed production of George Antheil’s Transatlantic with Minnesota Opera.
She made her European debut as Fiordiligi at the Vilnius Festival in Lithuania, then went on to sing her first Mimi in La Boheme with Hawaii Opera Theater. She debuted with Houston Grand
Opera as Antonia in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffman, and returned to Houston to sing Violetta in La Traviata, a role she repeated at Michigan Opera Theater, and with Chicago’s Grant Park Music Festival.
She has concertized extensively in such works as Mozart’s C Minor Mass with Boston Baroque, and both the Messiah and Elijah at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. Other concert works have included Mozart’s Exultate Jubilate, Carmina Burana and the Bachianas Brasilieras of Villa-Lobos.
Ms. Rambaldi began her career as a member of the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists’ apprenticeship program. Ms. Rambaldi has been a National Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and won the prestigious George London Award, and the ARIA Award.
Upcoming performances include a return to France to sing Alice in Falstaff and a debut with Tacoma Opera as Marguerite in Faust.
